Outreach & The Community
We strive to support the larger agricultural community of farmers and ranchers. Particularly because our sheep farm is not our main source of income, we are mindful that our existence in the marketplace affects producers who raise livestock as their primary livelihood. We also appreciate that producers often cooperate with another on a variety of sheep management practices – such as shearing - throughout the year.

We utilize our sheep enterprise as an educational tool to teach about agriculture and natural resources, and we strive to be an asset to the community.
We make our lambs available for ag educational events, such as Placer Ag Day, and the AgVenture exhibit at the Gold Country Fair.
We open our farm to visitors as part of the annual PlacerGROWN Farm to Barn Tour held every October.
We involve 4-H and FFA students in "work days," so they can gain hands-on experience in various sheep management practices such as vaccinating and shearing.
